Dateline Jasper: Vincent J. Erny age 75 of Jasper passed away at 1:04 A.M. Tuesday November 16, 2004 at Brookside Nursing Center in Jasper. He was born November 14, 1929 in Jasper to: Edward and Christina (Blessinger) Erny. He married Rosalee (Meyer) October 27, 1956. He was former Co-Owner of E & K Electric Company in Jasper –retired. He was an avid card player, and Golfer. He was a Korean war Veteran serving in the Army. Memberships include: the VFW Post 673, American Legion Post 147, the K of C, Precious Blood Mens Sodality, and F.O.P. Surviving: his wife-Rosalee Erny of Jasper. 1 son-Tim Erny of Jasper 4 daughters-Carla Erny, Karen Erny, Mrs. Brian (Kristi) Ketzner, and Mrs. Don (Cheri) Brosmer all of Jasper. 3 brothers-Richard, Harold, and Sylvester Erny all of Jasper 6 sisters-Mildred Erny, Helen Hochgesang, Mary Alice Schuetter, Mrs. Donald (Margaret) Eckerle, and Mrs. Michael (Betty) Reynolds all of Jasper, Mrs. Edward (Anna Mae) Reckelhoff of Huntingburg. 7 Grandchildren Preceded in death by 1 brother-Robert L. Erny. Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Parish Rosary at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday November 18, 2004 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. American Legion Post 147 will conduct the Military Grave Side Rites. Memorial contributions may be made to:St. Joseph Hospice, Precious Blood Catholic Church, or favorite charity.
