She was born in Jasper on April 18, 1934 to Albert and Anna M. (Lechner) Hopf. She married Jerome “Bud” Burger on April 22, 1954 in St. Joseph’s CatholicChurch in Jasper, he preceded her in death on December 14, 1988. Rosie Burger was working in the Jewelry department at Wal Mart since the opening of the store in Jasper and had worked for many years at Kimball Electronics a division of Kimball International. She is a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper and the Ladies Sodality of Precious Blood Church. Surviving are 2 brothers and 2 sisters; Thomas A. and spouse Marian Hopf James L. and spouse Dolores Hopf both of Jasper, IN Doris Kidwell, Arlington, VA Mrs. Arnold “Alice” Kluesner, Jasper, IN Friend, Jim Bachman, Jasper, IN Also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Rosie Burger will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 13, 2005) in Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday (July 12, 2005) at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Prayer Vigil will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home. Jasper High School Class of 1952 will pray a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.
