She was born at St. Henry, Indiana on November 25, 1922. Her parents were Beno and Mary (Luebbehusen) Krapf. Surviving are her caregivers, Nieces, Eileen Hall, Elfrieda Fleck and Esther Rumbach. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of 10 children; Preceding her in death are 3 sisters, Verena Burns, Flora Schwinghammer and Louise Krapf. 6 brothers, Cornelius O. Krapf, Clarence, Alfred, Edgar, Jerome and Arthur L. Krapf. Rita Krapf was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella The Red Hat Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. Rita worked for many years for Petrolane (Joe Stemle) gas service. Funeral services for Rita Krapf will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 28, 2009) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call 1 hour before services on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church C/O the Dubois County Community Foundation.
