Raymond Kieffner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dateline Boone Twp.: Raymond H. Kieffner age 93 of Boone Twp. In. passed away at 5:25 A.M. Sunday February 13, 2005 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was born June 23, 1911 in Dubois county to: Jacob and Anna (Baker) Kieffner. He married Edna (Bauer) September 7, 1937 at Emanuel Hill Lutheran Church at Dubois. She passed away October 23, 2004. He was a retired Farmer in the Boone Twp. area and a School Bus Driver for the Greater Jasper School district. Memberships include; life Long member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church where he served as President of the congregation as well as other offices, he also was a choir member of St. Pauls, He was affiliated with the Republican Party in Dubois County all his life and was extremely interested in politics including this election, He was a Boone Twp. Trustee for several terms and an Advisory Board member for several years, he was on the Greater Jasper School Board for 16 years, served on the Dubois County Council, past President and Director of the Bainbridge Farmers Mutual Home Insurance for 40 years. Surviving: 3 sons- David H., Ron, and Mark Kieffner all of Jasper. 2 sisters-Marie Hoffman, and Mrs. Delcus (Luetta) Nuekam both of Jasper. 6 Granddaughters, and 1 Grandson Preceded in death besides his wife is 1 son- Robert Kieffner who died in infancy, 1 brother-Herbert Kieffner, and 1 sister-Velma Krodel. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 16, 2005 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville the Rev. Dwayne Daehler will officiate the service, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. There will be 1 hour visitation at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
