Welp age 87 of Schnellville, Indiana died at 4:33 a.m. Friday (January 2, 2004) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born at Schnellville, Indiana on May 1, 1916. Her parents; Joseph and Caroline (Persohn) Miller. She married Edward Welp on October 27, 1938 at St. Anthony Catholic Church - he preceded her in death on August 21, 1979. She was a Homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville, Indiana. Surviving are; 1 daughter; Mrs. Tom “Pat” Henke, Birdseye, IN 12 grandchildren. and 21 geat grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her husband are 1 son; Ron Welp and 1 grandson Tom Henke Jr. 3 brothers; Herbert, Lee and Oscar Miller. Funeral services for Marie T. Welp will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (January 5, 2004) in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 11- 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Prayer Vigil will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home by members of Sacred Heart Parish.
