Josephine was born on January 20, 1931 in McLeansboro, IL to Charles and Sarah (Prince) Mead. She married Wayne "Jack" Schneider on July 13, 1956 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Evansville, Indiana. She was a 1948 graduate of McLeansboro High School. After graduating from Lockyear's Business College she worked as a secretary for three companies in Evansville. She was then a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Surviving, Husband Wayne "Jack" Schneider, Jasper, IN Six Daughters Jacqueline Schultheis, and her husband Jim, Indianapolis, IN Judith Kleiser, and her husband Terry, Plainfield, IN Jennifer Braun, and her husband Steve, Zionsville, IN Joyce Schneider, Indianapolis, IN Jane Thibodeau, and her husband Matt, Fishers, IN Crystal Strong, and her husband Brad, Palatine, IL Three Sons Charles Schneider, and his wife Connie, Fishers, IN Craig Schneider, and his wife Jami, Jasper, IN Carey Schneider, Jasper, IN 22 grandchildren Melissa, Erin, and Michael Schultheis, Carrie Black, Melanie Langford, Christopher Kleiser, Alexandra Noel, Callyn Riggs, John, Adam, and Maren Braun, Candice, Samantha, and Andrew Haddad, Cassandra Thomas, Jessica, Madelyn, and Rachel Thibodeau, Zach and Drew Schneider, Jeremy and Dylan Strong Four great grandchildren Gabe, Ryan, and Alexis Black, and Nathaniel Noel Several nieces and nephews Preceding her in death are one son, Christopher Schneider, one grandson, Ian Sean Schneider-Thomas , one sister, Vineta Sargent, and two brothers, Charles and Louis Mead. Funeral services for Josephine Schneider will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (July 26, 2013) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday (July 25, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
