He was born February 6, 1926 in Owensville, Indiana. His parents, Orville and Brittie (Bowman) Bush. He married JoAnn Williams August 21, 1948 in Henderson, Kentucky. He was a WWII and Korean Army veteran. He managed and operated poultry farms associated with the former Jasper Hatchery and the Hopf Brothers Farms. Avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening. Funeral services for John J Bush will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (January 22, 2011) in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ with burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Dubois. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military grave side rites. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service on Saturday at church. The Rev. Darrell Wineinger will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois or to a favorite charity.
