Dateline St. Anthony IN.: Frieda T. Berg age 80 of St. Anthony passed away at 11:32 A.M. Friday October 15, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg IN. She was born March 12, 1924 in Celestine to: Joseph and Katherine (Heeke) Schnell. She married Clarence Berg September 14, 1943. He passed away March 29, 2000. She and her husband Clarence owned and operated Berg’s Garage in St. Anthony IN. Memberships include: St. Anthony Catholic Church, the D of I Sodality, St. Anthony American Legion Aux., AARP, and St. Anthony Community Center. Surviving: 1 daughter-Mary Jane Frey of Huntingburg IN. 4 sons-Larry, Charles, Thomas, and Richard Berg all of St. Anthony. 9 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren Preceeded in death besides her husband are 1 daughter Betty Ann, 5 brothers- John, Ray, Oscar, Fred, Othmar, and Herbert Schnell, and 2 sisters-Catherine Seger, and Elizabeth Miller. Visitation will be held from 11:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a combined Rosary by the D of I Sodality, and St. Anthony Parish at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday October 18, 2004 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony IN. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions my be made to: St. Anthony Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
