Himsel age 93 of Jasper, Indiana died at 3:10 p.m. Friday (April 2, 2004) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born at Dubois, Indiana on August 8, 1910. Her parents were George and Margaret (Bair) Mann. She married Elmer Himsel October 30, 1932 and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1968. She was an avid Gardener and Sunday School Teacher. Membership, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana. Surviving are 2 daughters and 2 sons, Marlene Huls, Jasper, IN Mrs. Frederic “Margaret” Langley, Indianapolis, IN Fred Himsel, Jasper, IN George Himsel, Huntingburg, IN 8 grandchrilden and 7 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her husband are 2 son, Elmer ”Eddie” and Charles Himsel also 1 brother and 4 sisters. Funeral services for Evelyn E. Himsel will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (April 5, 2004) in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The Rev. Wilmer Hallman will officiate. Friends may call from 11 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
