She was born on May 29, 1922 at Whitesville, Kentucky. Parents; Bernard and Caroline (Hidgon) Christian. Married to Francis H. Ward on February 11, 1941 - he preceded her in death on June 25, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Surviving are 3 sons; Bill, Ernie and Tony Ward all of Jasper. 8 daughters; Mrs. Joe “Sue” Schoenbachler Mrs. Mark “Lynn” Meny Mrs. Mark “Barbara” Young Mrs. Jeff “Teresa” Knebel, all of Jasper, IN Mrs. Charles “Becky” Hill, Dale, IN Mrs. Dick “Frances” Leibering Michelle Stutsman, both Huntingfburg, IN Mrs. Bill “Rose” Wade, Loogootee, IN 32 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren 1 sister; Margaret Weber, Hanover Park, IL 2 brothers; Bud Christian, Owensboro, KY James Warner Christian, Vincennes, IN Preceding her in death besides her husband are 1 son; Lawrence Bernard Ward and 1 daughter; Ann Main. 1 brother; Bernard C. Christian and 3 other brothers who died in infancy. Funeral services for Clementine Ward will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (October 4, 2003) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from noon - 8 p.m. Friday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Prayer Vigil will be held by member of St. Joseph’s Parish at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
