Hilbert "Snowball" Rasche

Dateline Dubois, Indiana Hilbert A. "Snowball" Rasche, age 91, of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana. Snowball was born in Dubois, Indiana, on September 26, 1928, to Anthony and Clara (McGregor) Rasche. He married Mary (Amos) Rasche on September 16, 1950. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2010. He was the First Mate on the Mississippi Valley Barge Line and a lifelong poultry farmer. He had a passion for God and sharing the Gospel with others. He enjoyed his horses, mules, farming, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his three daughters; Frances (James) Floyd, Villa Hills, KY, Judy (Louie) Douglas, Dubois, IN, Clara (Mark) House, Eckerty, IN, six sons; Curt (Mary Lou) Hall, Plainfield, IN, John (Sandy) Hall, Jasper, IN, Bob (Elaine) Fromme, Clarksville, IN, Martin "Buddy" Rasche, St. Anthony, IN, Tim (Donna) Rasche, Dubois, IN, George (Marilyn) Rasche, Dubois, IN, and 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his wife are four sisters; Rosina Beck, Lorena Hackman, Verona Terwiske, Doretha Mundy, three brothers; Bernard Rasche, Thomas Rasche, and Leroy Rasche, one daughter-in-law, Martina Rasche. Private funeral services for Hilbert A. "Snowball" Rasche will be held at the Becher Kluesner Funeral Home North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow at the Haysville Community Cemetery.
