Pegram age 92 of Jasper died at 1:04 p.m. Thursday (July 1, 2004) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. Viola Pegram was residing at Brookside Village in Jasper since January of 2002. She was born in Dubois County on March 25, 1912, her parents – William and Mathilda (Schwindt) Hemmerlein. Viola married William J. Pegram on January 29, 1971 – he preceded her in death on September 2, 1982. Her church membership was Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper and the Women’s Guild of the church. Surviving are a nephew Gary Lett and his wife Cyndy, Silver Spring, MD 2 grand nephews, Cameron and Jonathan Lett and 1 grand niece, Sara Mulhall. Her Caregiver, Linda Fleck, Jasper, IN Preceding her in death besides her husband is 1 sister, Mildred Lett. Funeral services for Viola M. Pegram will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (July 7, 2004) at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana. The Rev. Richard T. Pearson will officiate. Friends may call from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher – Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
