She was born at Ferdinand, Indiana on June 25, 1926 to Edwin and Viola (Wilmes) Bartley. She married Andrew C. Klem on August 28, 1947 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Surviving, Husband, Andrew C. Klem 2 sister, Mrs. Clarence (Virginia) Schroeder, Jasper, IN Mrs. Robert (Doris) Schmitt, Jasper, IN 1 brother, Larry Bartley, Jasper, IN Also several nieces and nephews. Valada Klem worked with her husband in the operations of the Klem Construction Company in St. Anthony, Indiana. She is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church – Christians Mothers – St. Vincent DePaul Society – St. Anthony Community Center – St. Anthony American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services for Valada Klem will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (March 11, 2010) in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday (March 10, 2010) at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
