Dateline Dubois, Indiana Robert E. Main, age 77 of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday (June 20, 2015) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, IN. Robert was born on February 23, 1938 in Jasper, IN to Roy and Marie (Schubel) Main. He had two marriages. His first marriage was to Patricia Ann Ward on November 17, 1966. She preceded him in death on March 25, 1973. His second marriage was to Rita Fest on April 6, 1981. Robert was the Street Commissioner for the City of Jasper, from which retired after 20 plus years of service. He also previously worked as an over the road truck driver for R. L. Jefferies. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, bluegrass music, automotive repair, sightseeing the country, and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services for Robert Main will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (June 24, 2015) at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, IN, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday (June 23, 2015) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before the 10 a.m. service time at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, IN.
