Neukam age 92 of Haysville, Indiana died at 8:10 p.m. Friday (October 22, 2004) in the Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper. He was born at Dubois County, Indiana on February 24, 1912 to Louis and Maggie (Eisenhut) Neukam. He married Irma Hemmerlein on September 18, 1934 at the Emanuel Hill Lutheran Church at Dubois, Indiana, she preceded him in death on January 5, 1987. Philmore was a farmer and worked for Jasper -Chicago Clarmont Trucking where he retired in 1974. He also served on the Haysville Water Board many years. He was a life long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he served on various committees and also served on the church council and was a member of the Hickory Grove Community Club. Surviving is 1 daughter, Alice June Harker, Jasper, IN 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his wife are 1 sister, Esther Freyberger and 1 brother, Elmer F. Neukam. Funeral services for Philmore Neukam will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (October 25, 2004) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The Rev. Dwayne Daehler will officiate. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville or to Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper.
