Schulz age 90 of Celestine, Indiana died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday (March 15, 2005) in the Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper. He was born at Celestine, Indiana on October 10, 1914 to Ben and Mathilda (Schnell) Schulz. He married Clara C. Gadlage on September 15, 1938 in St. Celestine Catholic Church she preceded him in death on November 29, 1989. Othmar Schulz was a self-employed carpenter and had also worked Krempp Lum ber Company in Jasper. He is a member of St. Celestine Catholic Church and the Celestine Community Club where he was a life member. Surviving are 4 daughters; Mrs. Jim “Judy” Vonderheit, Jasper, IN Mrs. Chester “Lu Alice” Dilger, Ferdinand, IN Mrs. Ronald “Patty” Ebenkamp, Columbus, IN Mrs. Tim “Sandra” Terwiske, Celestine, IN 4 sons, Ronald Schulz, Ferdinand, IN Terry Schulz, Seymour,TN Marvin and Robert Schulz, both of Celestine, IN 1 brother, Eddie Schulz, Louisville, KY 23 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren 4 step great grandchildren Preceding him in death besides his wife is 2 daughter Diane Theile and Marilyn Schulz and 1 son Tim Schulz died in infancy also 1 grand daughter died in infancy and 4 sisters, Ardella Englert, Loretta Hasenour, Monica Buechler and Esther Stemle. 1 brother, Raymond Schulz died in infancy. Funeral services for Othmar Schulz will be held at 11:00 a.m.Friday (March 18, 2005) in St. Celestine Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by members of St. Celestine Parish and the Celestine Community Club. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Celestine Catholic Church.
