She was the daughter of the late Fredda Bell West and Grady Louis Scarboro. Beth was preceded in death by her late husband Raymond Murl Sandage on November 14th, 1974. Beth is survived by her faithful companion of many years Sam Hubster and two sons Terry Ray Sandage of Jasper and Billy Lee Sandage (Sarah) of Lexington, Ky. She is also survived by three grandchildren of which brought her great joy; William. L.“Beau” Sandage of Lexington, Brandon Ray and Brandi Renee Sandage of Jasper. Included in her loving relatives are two brothers Wilbur Lee “Wib” Scarboro (Ann), Louisville Ky. and Louis Garland “Snooks” Scarboro, Cannelton, In. and a Sister Mabel Louise” Mae” Morris, Tell City In. Also residing in Tell City are Beth’s step daughter Jean Goffinet (Don) and sister in law Juanita Gratzer. Prior to moving to Jasper in the mid 1960’s Beth and her late husband Raymond introduced the factory lunch truck delivery business to Atlanta, Ga., Indianapolis and Tell City, In.. While living in Tell City they also owned and operated the Horseshoe Saloon. After moving to Jasper they owned and operated the Starlight Drive Inn Restaurant and Meals on Wheels. In her later years after Ray’s death Beth worked as a care provider to many elderly at the Good Samaritan Nursing home in the Jasper area. She always had dear and fond stories for and of her patients and friends while there. Beth enjoyed her walks and solving cross word puzzles. She was a very caring and loving person who never meet a stranger and liked to be the life of the party, She will be missed by all her loving family members and friends. Funeral services for Beth Sandage will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday (December 18, 2007) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel with burial to follow at a later date. The Rev. Darrell Wineinger will officiate. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service time at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Donations to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers would please her very much.
