He was born in Green County on July 15, 1961 to Roy Junior Flynn and Beverly (Swanson) Flynn. Married to Irma Wessel October 7, 1989 in Jasper. He was a tanker driver (Oil Transporter) for Ackerman Oil in Jasper and had previously worked for the Jasper Engine Exchange, he also was a former sports official for the Indiana High School Athletic Association He graduated from the Switz City Central High School in 1979 where he was his Senior Class President, he also was a four year letterman in his high school sports career. His memberships include St. Mary Catholic Church - Precious Blood Church Choir – Ireland Knight of Columbus – St. Vincent DePaul Society of Ireland – Loyal Order of the Jasper Moose Club. Avid Fisherman – Bobbie Knight and REO Speedwagon Fan. Surviving is his wife Irma 2 sons, Matthew Flynn, Washington, IN a student at USI in Evansville and Ryne Flynn, Ireland, IN –student at Jasper Middle School Mother, Beverly Erfft, Brazil, IN Grandmother, Anna Belle Swanson, York, NE 1 brother, David Flynn and spouse Michele, Linton, IN 2 sisters, Mrs. Ron ( Debra) Hobson- Muncie, Brazil, IN Mrs. Harry (Rebecca) Andrews, Toledo, OH 1 step brother, Paul Erfft, Center Point, IN 2 step-sisters Carol Culler, Brazil, IN Marian Worley, Columbus, IN Preceding him in death is his father Roy Junior Flynn – Step-Father, Marion (Bud) Erfft Brother in Law Richard Hobson and 1 niece Lisa Gardell Webb. Funeral services for Mark Flynn will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (September 6, 2006) in St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Ireland. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m.CDT Tuesday (September 5, 2006) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 8 – 9: 30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church Ireland – or to the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of –the – Woods, Indiana.
