Linus was born on December 25, 1939 in Hickory Grove in Dubois County to Peter and Irene (Wolf) Bauer. He married Mary Rasche on December 30, 1992 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN. Linus worked for Wabash Valley Produce for 48 years, from which he retired. He also owned Bauer Farms and Linus Bauer Trucking in Dubois, IN. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN. He was a past member of the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Dubois County Sportsman’s club, the Dubois Community Club, and the Dubois Jaycees. He was a little league coach at Dubois for many years. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Bauer and his wife Debbie, Dubois, IN Jon Bauer and his wife Tiffany, Dubois, IN 11 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren Two Brothers Ed Bauer and his wife Joan, Jasper, IN Carl Bauer and his wife Robin, Jasper, IN Preceding Linus in death was one daughter, Kathy Bauer-Voelkel, and two sisters, Martha Weisheit, and Linda Bauer. Funeral services for Linus Bauer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday (October 9, 2013) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville, IN. Pastor Charla Grieves will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, (October 8, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
