Becher - Kluesner Funeral Home, Inc. 812-482-4141 Dateline Jasper: Lenore B. Knies age 87 of Jasper passed away at 5:00 A.M. Friday June 11, 2004 at the St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born September 25, 1916 in Jasper to: Edward and Otillia (Hopf) Buehler. She married Edwin B. Knies October 1, 1935. He passed away August 26, 1963. She worked at the K of C and Heichelbech’s Restaurant in Jasper-retired. Memberships include: St. Anns Society, the D of I Sodality and the Alpha Grand Mothers Club. Surviving: 3 daughters-Mrs. Raphael (Phyllis) Ackerman, Mrs. Ed (Anne) Oser both of Jasper, and Mrs. Frank (Sarah Jane) Meyer of Calgary Canada. 3 sisters-Anna Mae Schmidt, Mrs. Robert (Jimmi) Mehringer, and Betty Heichelbech all of Jasper 7 Grandchildren 7 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death besides her husband is 1 son Eddie Knies and 1 sister Sally Schitter. Visitation will be held from 11:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a combined Rosary at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home by St. Jospeh Parish, St. Anns Society, and the D of I Sodality. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Monday June 14, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Her nephew, Fr. Ken Betz will officiate the Service Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Joseph Catholic Church or the St. Charles Health Campus Activity Fund.
