Phone 812-482-4141 Fax 812-482-1193 Dateline Jasper, Indiana Lena Kreilein age 97 of Jasper died at 4:20 a.m. today (April 25, 2005) at the Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper. She was born on January 26, 1908 to Peter and Frances (Mehringer) Hopf. She married Herman Kreilein on September 2, 1930, he preceded her in death on May 3, 1995. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and the St. Ann’s Society. Surviving are; 1 daughter, Mrs. Edwin “Sue Jane” Lueken, Jasper, IN 1 son, Melvin Kreilein Sr., Jasper, IN 3 grandchildren, Mel Kreilein Jr, Connie and Brenda and 3 great grandchildren Preceding her in death besides her husband are 3 sisters, Laura Beck, Regina Hurst and Veronica Wehr and 6 brothers, George, Andrew, Paul, Leo, Robert and Tony Hopf. Funeral services for Lena Kreilein will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday ( April 27, 2005) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher – Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper Rosary by the St. Ann’s Society will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
