She was born on February 8, 1916 in Pike County Indiana to William Alvis and Anna Katherine (Stone) Cox. She married twice; first marriage to Don Yates on April 11, 1936 he died on July 07-1960. 2nd marriage to Jack Catt in May of 1968 he died December 1979. Lena was a member of Rebekah Lodge #202 of the International Order of Odd Fellows. Surviving are 3 daughters; Mrs. James (Shirley) McLaughlin, Otwell, In Mrs. Richard (Donna) Dyer- Wallace, Petersburg, IN Bonnie Pauw, Jasper, IN 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. 1 brother, Randal Cox, Camby, In 3 sisters; Wanda Allison, Washington, In Dorothy Woodall, Petersburg, IN Wilma Hardin, Otwell, In Preceding her in death are 2 brothers, Raymond and Oris Cox and 2 sisters, Velma Doades and Geneva Reed and 1 grandson Donnie Pauw. Funeral services for Lena Catt will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (November 24, 2007) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in the Otwell Cemetery in Otwell, Indiana. The Rev. Darrell Wineinger will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Pike County Community Foundation’s Friends of Pike County Fund.
