Betz age 74 of Celestine, Indiana died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday (December 2, 2003) at the Waters of Huntingburg in Huntingburg, Indiana. She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana on September 5, 1929. Her parents; Leo J. and Emma (Nordhoff) Brang. She married Joseph Betz on November 28, 1950 - he preceded her in death on January 30, 2000. She was a homemaker and member of St. Peter Celestine Catholic Chruch and the St. Ann’s Sodality and the Schnellvile Conservation Club. Surviving are 2 daughters; Mrs. Ed “Judy” Senninger, Jasper, IN Mrs. Michael “Marilyn” Buechler, Huntingburg, IN 4 sons; Harold Betz, Jasper, IN Myron, Allen and Daryl Betz all of Schnellville, IN 18 grandchildren; Todd and Traci Senninger, Heather, Kymberlee and Whitney Buechler, Eric, Leslie, Matthew, Scott, Shelby, Wayne, Michelle, Diana, Nick, Lori, Melissa, Joe and Karla Betz. 7 great grandchildren; Zachery Betz, Brittany and Katelyn Cooper, Tarzana Sadler, Natalie Rose, Ryan and Kyle Cooper. Preceding her in death besides her husband are 1 son, Aaron Betz and 1 brother, Delmar Brang. Funeral services for Laverne Betz will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday (December 5, 2003) at St. Peter Celestine Catholic Church with burial in St. Peter Celestine Cemetery. Friends may call from noon - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by members of St. Peter Celestine Parish. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Celestine Catholic Church.
