Conolty age 84 of Jasper died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, ( February 28, 2005) in the Jasper Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born at Martin County, Indiana on May 18, 1920 to Clyde W. and Esther (Preusz) Conolty. He married Frances (Himsel) on November 30, 1946 in Boone Township, Indiana. Karel Conolty was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the European Theater later he operated the Ace Nut and Bolt company also operated the Newton Manufacturing and a sales representative for the Bohnert Advertising Company. Karel E. Conolty is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township- V.F.W. Post # 673 and the American Legion Post # 147. Surviving is his wife Frances Conolty. 1 daughter, Mrs. Glenn “Kathleen J.” Rosing, Newburgh, IN 1 son, Michael Conolty and spouse Roberta, Naples, Fl Preceding him in death are 2 brothers, Dallas and Jack Conolty. Funeral services for Karel Conolty will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (March 3, 2005) at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Vonesh will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military Grave Side Rites. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township or the American Diabetes Association.
