He was born January 9, 1929 in Washington, Indiana to Bernard Sr. and Elizabeth (Walton) Siddons. His 1st marriage was to Mary Lou Gomez on June 13, 1955, and she passed away on February 12, 1988. His 2nd marriage was to Mary Lou Vollmer on May 5, 1995 in Jasper. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated the Siddons Body Shop along with his brother for 15 years, and then retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions. He enjoyed stock car racing, gardening, and working in the yard. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntingburg, and a member of the Ferdinand American Legion. Funeral services for John Siddons will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday (July 21, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Enlow Jasper City Cemetery. VFW Post #673 will conduct military graveside rights. Friends may call from 10:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday (July 21, 2011) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
