Dateline Jasper: John J. Dick age 67 of Jasper passed away at 8: 22 P.M. Monday April 12, 2004 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was born December 25, 1936 in Jasper to: Andrew and Helen (Wilson) Dick. He married Marlene Vonderheide February 26, 1957. He was a self-employed Truck Driver and drove a school bus for the Greater Jasper School District. Memberships include: Precious Blood Catholic Church, Precious Blood Mens Society, Ireland K of C, Loyal Order of the Moose, Timeless Car Classic Club of Pike County. He was an avid card player. Surviving: his wife Marlene Dick of Jasper 2 daughters-Mrs. Kenny (Suzan) Henke of Jasper, Mrs. Steve (Lisa) O’Brien of Santa Claus. 2 sons-Mike and Mr. and Mrs. Keith (Mary) Dick both of Ireland. 1 sister-Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Will of Evansville 6 Grandchildren 3 step Grandchildren Preceded in death by 1 Grandson-Blake Schnaus, and 1 brother Bob Dick. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Parish Prayer Vigil at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home also the Moose Lodge will have a Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday April 15, 2004 at Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ireland.
