He was born March 27, 1937 in Celestine to: Carl and Agnes (Kempf) Striegel. He married Barbara Knies July 15, 1978. He worked as a Parts Manager for Uebelhor & Sons in Jasper-Retired. Memberships include: ABATE, FOP, the K of C, Cowboy Shootist Association, Harley Owners Group of Evansville, Jasper Outdoor Recreation Association, St. Anthony American Legion, he served in the United States Airforce for 6 years. Surviving: his wife Barbara Striegel of Jasper. 1 daughter-Carla Striegel of English IN. 7 brothers- Othmar “Ottie” Striegel of Schnellville, James “Jim” of Schaumburg IL., Lee of Jasper, William “Bill” of Florissant MO., Donald of Indianapolis, Ray of Dale and Roman “Romie” of Huntingburg. 3 sisters-Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Buechlein of Huntingburg, Rita Dougherty of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Berg of Clayton IN. Visitation will be held from 12:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 23, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville IN. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. St. Anthony American Legion will conduct the military grave side rites. Memorial contributions may be to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or your favorite charity.
