Leonard age 63 of Schnelville IN.passed away at 11:45 P.M.Tuesday April 20, 2004 as the result of a helicopter accident in Warrick County. He was born May 19, 1940 in Birdseye to: Collis and Clesta (Fallowfield) Leonard. He married Ruth Ann Knies October 22, 1960. He worked for Mulzer Crushed Stone for 36 years, where he retired March 31, 2004. Memberships include: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, NBHA-National Barrel Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, he was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. Surviving: his wife Ruth Ann Leonard of Schnellville. 2 sons- Steve and Keith Leonard both of Schnellville 2 daughters- Sandy Leonard, and Mrs. Rodney (Debbie) Jacob both of Schnellville 2 sisters-Pat Bruner, and Betty Kivela both of Birdseye. 7 Grandchildren Preceded in death by 1 son Jeffrey Leonard, and 1 brother-William Leonard. Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Prayer Vigil by Sacred Heart Parish at 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 24, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
