She was born at Dubois, Indiana on December 28, 1912 to Hampton and Elizabeth (Stamm) Pinnick. She married George Sermersheim on October 10, 1936 he preceded her in death on April 18, 1981. Ida Sermersheim was a (CNA certified nurse assistant) for 23 working at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. Her memberships include St. Joseph’s Catholic Church - St. Ann’s Society. She was a past member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Surviving are 1 sister and one brother, Amy Ackerman, Jasper, IN Walter Pinnick, Pasadena, FL Also several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her husband is 1 son Ronald Lee Sermersheim and 4 brothers, Joseph, Edward, Herbert and Ralph Pinnick and 3 sisters, Emma Scholl, Cora Lardie and Joyce Lask. Funeral services for Ida Sermersheim will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (March 2, 2005) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday by members of the St. Ann’s Society and St. Joseph’s Parish.
