He was born on October 5, 1920 in Pineville, Kentucky, his parents; Dennis and Elizabeth (Cox) Burgan. Married to Loretta Hopf on Nov 28, 1942 . WWII Army Veteran. He retired from the Jasper Corporation a division of Kimball International. Membership; St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Loretta. 4 daughters; Mrs. Wally “Marie” Moses, Shoals, IN Mrs. Stan “Marsha” Seifert, Mrs. Wayne “Rose” Kreilein and Mrs. John “Barb” Miller, all of Jasper, IN 2 sons; Don Burgan, Shoals, IN and Ron Burgan, both of Jasper, IN 16 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren. 1 sisters; Isabelle Robbins, Cincinnati, OH 1 Half – sister, Mary Quall, Lexington, KY 2 - Half brother, Henry Cox, Cincinnati, OH Gene Cox, both of Cincinnati, OH Preceding him in death are 1 daughter, Shirley J. Wessel and 1 son, Brian Burgan. 1 sister, Mabel Helton. Funeral services for George B. Burgan will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (June 12, 2004) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct Military Grave Side Rites. Friends may call from 2 – 8 pm. Friday at the Becher – Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
