Kress age 72 of the Diocese of Evansville, Indiana died in Louisville, Kentucky at 8:36 p.m. Monday (January 24, 2005.) He was born in Jasper, Indiana on September 22, 1932 to Oscar and Stella (Schutz) Kress. Fr. Surviving is a niece Jamie Kress Regan and her husband Hugh Regan, Carmel, Indiana. Great nephew, Hugh Regan and Great Niece, Tricia Regan and many special friends. Preceding him in death besides his parents are 1 brother, James Kress. Funeral services for Fr. Robert L. Kress will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (January 28, 2005) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview cemetery in Jasper. Bishop Gerald A. Gettelfinger and fellow priests will officiate. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m.Thursday (January 27, 2005) at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9 - 11 a.m.Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
