Gudorf, age 71 of Jasper, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday (May 28, 2013) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. Eugene was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 22, 1942 to Hubert and Blanche (Nemer) Gudorf. He married Irma Eckstein on September 5, 1960 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN. Eugene was the founder and president of Gudorf Supply Company in Jasper, which he started in March of 1964. He was a member of St. Bonifice Catholic Church in Fulda, Indiana and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Dubois County Builders Association, Southern Indiana PHCC, Jasper Outdoor Recreation, A lifetime member of the NRA, The Fulda Sportsman's Club, and the Jasper Rifle and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, being at the Farm, driving his tractor, and being at work. Gudorf will be held at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) on Friday (May 31, 2013) at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from Noon-8:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday (May 30, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9:00a.m. to the 11:00 a.m. (EDT) service time on Friday at the church.
