Gould age 81 of Jasper died at 6:00 a.m. Friday (December 19, 2003) in the Northwood Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasper. He was born at Martin County, Indiana on December 29, 1921. His parents; Henry and Flo (Cochran) Gould He married Georgia Drexler June 16, 1945 in Boone Township, Indiana. He was a WWII Army Veteran - and a POW at Olflag 64 for two years in Munic Poland, after his military service he was a farmer in the Haysville Community. Memberships; Christ Lutheran Church and life member of the V.F.W. Post # 673 - Life member of the D.A.V. and the P.O.W. ‘s Organization. Surviving are his wife Georgia. 2 daughters; Mrs. Jessie “Debbie” Summers, Lamar, IN Barbara Jones, Aurora, IN 3 sons; Lonnie Gould, Jasper, IN (Twin) Gary Gould - his wife, Pamala, Haysville, IN Kurt Gould, Loogootee, IN 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. 1 sister; Melba Patrick, Jasper, IN 2 half sisters; Cecil Arvin, Loogootee, IN. Margie Tedrow, Loogootee, IN 1 half brother; Lawrence Tedrow, Terre Haute, IN Preceding him in death are 1 daughter; Patricia Hopster and 2 sons; Daniel and Larry Gould and 2 half sisters; Louise Arvin and Catherine Moore and 2 half bro's Claude and Herman Tedrow. Funeral services for Eugene Gould will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (December 22, 2003) in Christ Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Community Cemetery in Haysville, Indiana. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct military Grave side rites. Friends may call from 11 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. DAV Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
