She was born at Otwell, Indiana on November 12, 1916. Parents; James and Leona (Demsey) McCain. She married Roman F. Schneider on April 18, 1953 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper - he preceded her in death on December 26, 2000. She retired from the former Cooper Corporation in Jasper and also had worked at the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. Memberships; Precious Blood Catholic Church - V.F.W. Auxiliary to Post # 673 in Jasper. Surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; James, Leroy and Clifford H. McCain and 2 sisters; Genevieve and and another sister who died in infancy. Funeral services for Ermal Schneider will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 11, 2003) in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetey in Jasper. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. Saturday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper until the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday at St. Mary’s Cathoic Church in Ireland.
