He was born at Jasper, Indiana on April 23, 1939 to Edward and Catherine (Kluemper) Hopf. Married to Teresa Wessel on August 1, 1976 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. Emil was a farmer and Logger and member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois. He also served in the Indiana National Guard. Surviving, Wife, Teresa 2 sons, Edward Hopf, Jasper, IN Eric Hopf, St. Louis, MO 1 grandson, Alex 1 brother, Harold Hopf, Jasper, IN 3 sisters, Sr. Mary Gabriel Hopf, Ellisville, MO (Order of the Passion Nuns Mrs. Norbert (Verena) Schroeder, Mrs. Hilbert (Bernadine) Schnell both Jasper, IN Preceding him in death besides his parents are 2 brothers, Ambrose Hopf and Msgr. Linus Hopf and 2 sisters, Loretta Burgan and Dorothy Senninger. Funeral services for Emil Hopf will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday ( June 28, 2010) in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois with entombment in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.
