Berg age 86 of St. Anthony, Indiana died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday (January 12, 2005) in St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg, Indiana. She was born on June 27, 1918 to Joseph and Anna (Merkel) Hasenour. Married to William J. Berg on April 27, 1946, he preceded her in death on December 15, 2002. She was a homemaker and member of St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church and Christian Mothers and and the St. Anthony Senior Citizens. Surviving are 1 son, David L. Berg and wife Shirley, St. Anthony, IN, She also raised 2 nephews from birth James L.“Jim” Berg and wife Sue and Randy J. Berg and wife Ann both of St. Anthony, Indiana whoses birth mother Barnetta Kearby Berg died after giving birth to Randy Berg. 2 grandchildren; Chad and Jennifer and 4 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death besides her husbands are 4 sister, Minnie Nordhoff, Rose Hasenour, Frances Schnell and Semla Schnell and 5 brothers, Alois, Frank, Edward , Carl and Victor Hasenour and Funeral services for Ella Berg will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (January 15, 2005) in St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday (January 14, 2004) at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Rosary Service at 4:00 p.m. on Friday by members of St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church or to the Christians Mothers of the parish.
