He was born on September 4, 1922 in Boone Township to William and Maggie (Mann) Eck. He married Wynonia Schnarr on June 4, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township. Christian Eck was a retired farmer in Boone Township and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township. Surviving is his wife Wynonia. 1 son, Gary Eck, Boone Township, IN 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren. 1 foster sister, Elnora Eisenhut, Haysville, IN Preceding him in death besides his parents are 3 brothers, Lawrence, Carl and Alvah Eck. Funeral services for Christian Eck will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (November 10, 2004) in St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Boone Township, the Rev. Richard Vonesh will officiate. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher - Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and 1 hour before services at church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Trust Fund or to St. Joseph Hospital Hospice.
