Korean Army Veteran He was a Barber in Dubois for 48 years . He also was a school bus driver for over 30 years for the North East Dubois School Corporation. Memberships; St. Raphael’s Catholic Church - Life member of the V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper. He was born at Dubois, Indiana on July 26, 1932. Parents; Joseph and Rosa M. (Heichelbech) Pieper. Surviving are 2 daughters; Mrs. Dale “Cynthia” Jacob, Celestine, IN. Mrs. David “Janelle” Belu, Columbus, OH 1 son; Lance Pieper, Dubois, IN 3 grandchildren; Drew and Amber Jacob and lauren Belu. His Companion; Marilyn DeBrosse, Phoenix, AZ Mother; Rosa M. Pieper, Jasper, IN 2 sisters; Marge Ruhe, Ferdinand, IN and Veronica Meinking, Cincinnati, OH 3 brothers; Edwin Pieper, Dubois, IN, Leroy and Joseph Pieper both Jasper, IN. Preceding him in death are 1 brother; Henry Pieper and 1 sister; Anna Marie Reyling another sister died in infancy. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Thursday (August 14, 2003) at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois with burial to follow in St. Raphael’s Cemetery. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Friends may call one hour before services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael’s Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
