Agnes M. Jahn age 76 of Jasper died at 11:58 p.m. Thursday (December 9, 2004) at Brookside Village Senior Living Center in Jasper. She was born at Celestine, Indiana on August 20, 1928 to Anthony and Clara (Brames) Beckman. She married Othmar Jahn on October 26, 1950 at St. Peter Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine. Agnes Jahn was a homemaker and member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Sodality. Patoka Valley Quilters Guild and the St. Anthony Senior Citizens. Agnes was an avid card player, quilter and Gardner. Surviving is her husband Othmar 2 daughters, Mrs. Jim “Susan” Birk Mrs. Gary “Diana” Sergesketter both of Jasper, IN 3 sons, Anthony, Roman and David Jahn all of Jasper, IN 8 grandchildren 2 step-grandchildren and 1 step- great grandson 1 brother, Maurice Beckman, St. Anthony, IN 1 sister, Mary Ann Rasche, Celestiine, IN Preceding her in death are 1 son, Herman Jahn; 2 brothers, Ambrose and Anthony Beckman. Funeral services for Agnes Jahn will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday (December 13, 2004) at Holy Family Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. Friends may call from 11 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday by the Blessed Virgin Sodality and a prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday by members of Holy Family Parish. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic School Foundation or to Holy Family Catholic Church..
